NY Times Portfolio review
Call for Submissions
Ernie Sisto / The New York Times
For the first time ever, the New York Times is offering a free portfolio review, announced a few days ago by James Estrin, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper’s LENS blog. The two-day gathering will be held April 13 - 14, bringing together publishers, photo directors, critics, curators and gallerists for a series of discussions and workshops.
The event will be the opportunity to debate issues ranging from digital enhancement to developing one’s photography, with a focus on the financial aspect. It will also give 160 photographers the chance to meet face-to-face with leading publishers. Young photographers aged 18 to 27 will have a special time devoted to their work. The deadline for application is Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.
Le Journal de la Photographie is a media partner for the event. One of our American correspondents will serve on the jury, which will publish a selection of the best portfolios.
For information, visit the LENS blog on the New York Times website.
