Director of Magnum Photos from 2000 to 2006, Diane Dufour has curated several exhibitions, including Euro Visions at the Centre Pompidou (2005), L’Image d’après at the Cinémathèque Française (2007) and the Cultura Contemporània de Barcelone (2008).
In 2010, she founded LE BAL with Raymond Depardon, transforming a former 1920s ballroom near the Place de Clichy into a cultural space devoted to the image in all its forms: photography, video, cinema and new media.
Dufour was a member of the acquisitions committee for photography at the Fond National d’Art Contemporain from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, she served as the rapporteur of photography at the Villa Médicis in Rome and the Fondation Nationale des Arts Graphiques et Plastiques.
Applicants must send a minimum of 7 images, and a maximum of 15 (1024 pixels, 72 dpi), along with a short text of presentation of their approach to photography also indicating age, nationality, and place of residence.
