French Photography of the year 2012. Was attributed on January 30th, 2012. The winner is Rémi Ochlik, killed on February 22nd in Homs while covering the war in Syria. Winner in the reportage category, ahead of Mathieu Germain-Lambert and Eric Bouvet, his friends from the IP3 Press agency, including cofounder Christophe Bertolin, accepted the award of 10000 Euros of Nikon material. During the ceremony, Christian Chamourat, president of the Saif, presented an honorary award to Marc Garanger for his career. The prize will now be called the Honorary Saif Prize. A catalog features pictures from the top three photographers in each category.
