The Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts (KMoPA), located in Japan's Yamanashi district, holds its "Young Portfolio Acquisitions" each year. This is a unique opportunity for young photographers to submit their finest published or unpublished images with the possibility their work will be selected for acquisition into the museum's permanent collection.
Boasting one of the largest platinum print collections in the world, the museum is also attentive to the work of emmerging talent. KMoPA created the "Young Portfolio Acquisitions" in 1995. Since then, the museum has acquired 4,832 prints from 667 artists worldwide.
It is not considered a contest where works are judged and ranked. A panel of experts selects the images they find unique and representative of the creativity of younger artists in the field of photography.
Last year alone, KMoPA acquired 178 prints from 26 artists.
The members of the selection committee this year are : Kikuji Kawada, Hiroh Kikai and Eikih Hosoe, who is also the museum's director.
The application period runs until May 15th. Participants must be under 35 years old. Artists can participate as many times as they like. Some photographers have taken part in this program over the last ten years and, as a result, have as many as one hundred works in the museum's collection.
All the rules and conditions are posted on KMoPA's website :

Good luck to all.
