The Steven Kasher Gallery in New York presents new images by the photographer of the moment. On display are thirty-five black-and-white pictures taken on the streets of Chicago and New York, mainly portraits of strangers, scenes, shadows and other objects taken on the fly with the Rolleiflex that constantly hung from her neck. This new exhibition adds to the myth of this lover of the commonplace, who left at her death 2,000 undeveloped rolls of film and 120,000 negatives. La Lettre is sharing a dozen of them.
