The Maison de la Photographie Robert Doisneau in Gentilly is presenting the exhibition "Russie(s)" vues par Stanley Greene et Yuri Kozyrev through October 14, 2012. One theme for two NOOR agency photographers observing the diversity of Russia over the past two decades. Their viewpoints are quite naturally diverging as are the subjects and events they covered.

From Stanley Greene’s “Red October”, a post-cold war period dating back to 1993 to the tragic events of Bezlan in September, 2004, photographed by Yuri Kozyrev, the exhibition also demonstrates the different subjects covered by these photographers, otherwise known for their coverage of conflict. Among them, Stanley Greene’s documentation of the mothers of missing Russian soldiers (sons, brothers or fathers), or his coverage of the Transsiberian or nightlife in Moscow. As for Yuri Kozyrev, he reveals the country’s industrial pollution, life of the Nenets in the North west of Siberia or vacationers on the banks of the Black Sea in Crimea.
