14h00 – Now all the stands in the Palais des Congrès are alive. There’s a crowd at the Association Nationale des Iconographes (ANI). Young people wait in line to show their pressbooks in the hope of getting featured by ANI, plus a mention in the Journal de la Photographie.

I happen to learn (and I thank this ‘Deepthroat’) that the Prix de l’ANI-PixPalace will be awarded Wednesday night to Misha Friedman for his coverage of tuberculosis in Russia.

This is certainly the year of the Cosmos agency! Annie Boulat, the agency’s tireless founder, has something in every single night of projection. People are going to be jealous...

So a genuine battalion of Cosmos photographers are in attendance this year, in no particular order: Pascal Maître, Catalina Martin-Chico, Frédéric Noy, JB Russell, Jean-Michel Clajot, Misha Friedman, Pierre Terdjman, Ivan Guilbert, George Steinmetz, Alfredo Bini, Justin Jin and Gregorz Komar.
