Ader Nordmann will hold an auction during Paris-Photo and the Mois de la Photo in Paris. Under the expertise of Antoine Romand, the auction will feature vintage, modern and contemporary photographs, and will take place on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at 14:00 at the Favart auction room.

After a stereoscopic photograph by Louis Rémy Robert (est. 4,000-6,000€), we find in lots 5 to 27 a large set of calotypes and albumen proofs by Gustave de Beaucorps (1825 - 1906) with an estimated value of 1,000-5,000€.

This is followed by lot 30, Louis August Busson (1814-1876), “Paris c. 1841-1845. L’Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel du Louvre devant le Palais des Tuileries.” An unadjusted half-plate daguerreotype, under glass with the original mat, and an L.A.B. dry stamp in the center (est. 40,000-60,000€).

Lots 82 to 88 are a collection of photographs by Amiral Théophile, with a rare album on Haiti (c. 1870) and a set of J.E. Maure calotypes.

Near lot 100, we find a large set of prints by Henri Manuel (1874-1947), with Paul Poiret costume designs for the Théâtre des Champs Élysées, thirty-two autochromes in their original mahogany boxes. Then there are 17 vintage gelatin silver prints by Brassaï, depicting Paris by both night and day: Le pont des Arts" 1933-35 (est. 3,000-5,000€) and "Paris de nuit, vue de Notre-Dame" 1933 (est. 3,000-5,000€).

Later in the catalogue, the auction features a set of 14 prints by Ilse Bing (1899-1998), estimated between 2,000 and 3,000€.

Finally, there are several prints by artists like Henri Cartier-Bresson “(Rue Mouffetard” Paris 1954, est. 12,000-15,000€), Bill Brandt, René Burri, Sabine Weiss, and several by Jeanloup Sieff and Lucien Clergue.
