To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the International Herald Tribune sought the expertise of Viviane Esders to select and organize an auction of the best documents in its archives. This sale, “Eye on the world: Photographic treasures from the archives of the International Herald Tribune,” organized by Yann Le Mouel, will take place Monday, November 19, 2012, at 14:00 in Salle 15 of the Hôtel Drouot.
Among the selected photographs for sale are portraits of King Albert I on the day of his coronation, Che Guevara, the Dalai Lama, Mao Zedong, Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan, Jean Cocteau, Igor Stravinsky, Cary Grant, John Lennon and Jean Seberg...
