Issue 0 of Camera magazine is creating a buzz at Paris Photo. Some had already seen it, others had flipped through it, and those who had seen nothing were skeptical, to say the least. Everyone had a different take...

Thirty years after its disappearance, the magazine Camera will once again hit newsstands starting January 17, 2013.

The magazine will feature the same identical design, logo and paper density as the original, but will take a slightly different approach to photography, a reflection of how the medium has changed over the past thirty years. According to Bruno Bonnabry Duval, who is spearheading the magazine’s revival, Camera will be intergenerational and oriented toward collectors. Brigitte Ollier will be the editor. Duval is familiar with the worlds of advertising, publishing and distribution. He also knows and enjoys photography, “but in the last few years,” he says, “I’ve seen too many photographers who have lost their bearings.”

With Camera, Duval hopes to put them back on the right track. Seasoned photographers will be given the opportunity to call attention to the work of young photographers and explain the reasons behind their selection.

Twenty thousand copies of Camera will be published in French and English and distributed throughout the world for the price of 7.90€. The first year, four issues will be available on newsstands and other places related to photography.
